Description
The University of Miami Miller School of Medicine's Department of General Medicine is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator II to support program operations, including health education and counseling services, and day-to-day administrative tasks. Under the guidance of the Manager and PI, the CRC II is responsible for monitoring staff compliance with the protocol and ensuring effective data flow between the program, the University, and our funders/stake holders. These responsibilities include: (1) Managing, implementing, coordinating, planning, and evaluating the business operations for the department / division, which may include performance and managerial reporting, decision and budget support, capital planning, and process improvement. (2) Monitoring contractual obligations and ensuring consistency with program budget & goals. (3) Staff management and preparing performance reports. (4) Developing and maintaining relationships with community stakeholders, program funders/sponsors, and key managerial/administrative/faculty personnel throughout the University to assist the PI with program execution. (5) Overseeing all program activities including coordinating meetings, problem-solving, file tracking, following up on programmatic concerns, and ensuring adherence to program guidelines and protocol.
Contributes to clinical and applied research activities including data collection, consenting patients, longitudinal patient follow-up, subject tracking, maintaining regulatory compliance, and IRB submissions and modifications.
Oversees day-to-day operations for PI-driven research, grant-funded research, and sponsored studies.
Requests or acquires equipment and supplies for assigned project(s).
Uses the Internet, surveys, databases, electronic medical record, and other available sources to collect research information.
Interfaces across departments with research collaborators, and funding agencies.
Assists the PI and senior staff in preparing materials for submission to granting agencies and foundations.
Leads training and supervision of staff and research assistants.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
This is a full-time position.
Flexible hours may be needed, including evenings and weekends.
Local traveling involved.
Candidates should be comfortable working in community settings with the described population.
Candidates should also have experience in strong verbal communication, interviewing, and writing skills; computer skills related to data collection and management; and excellent time management and organizational skills.
