Job Title: Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (Med-Surg RN)\nJob Summary:\n\n \n\n \n\n \n\n \n\n \n\n \n\n\nQualifications:\n
The Med-Surg RN provides patient-centered nursing care in a fast-paced environment, addressing acute and chronic medical conditions. This role requires effective communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to promote optimal health outcomes.
\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nPatient Care:

- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients with a variety of medical conditions and post-operative needs. \n
- Monitor patient status, including vital signs, lab results, and response to treatments. \n
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and established protocols. \n
Clinical Documentation:
\n- \n
- Maintain accurate and thorough patient records, including assessments, interventions, and outcomes. \n
- Communicate effectively with the healthcare team regarding patient progress and any changes in condition. \n
Collaboration and Communication:
\n- \n
- Coordinate care with physicians, physical therapists, dietitians, and other healthcare professionals. \n
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, medications, and post-discharge care. \n
Technical Skills:
\n- \n
- Operate and maintain medical equipment such as IV pumps, wound vacuums, and telemetry monitors. \n
- Perform procedures such as catheterizations, wound care, and IV insertions. \n
Patient Advocacy:
\n- \n
- Promote patient safety and ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards. \n
- Address patient concerns and ensure comfort and dignity throughout the care process. \n
Emergency Response:
\n- \n
- Recognize and respond to deteriorating patient conditions, including initiating life-saving interventions when necessary. \n
- Actively participate in code teams and rapid response scenarios. \n

- Licensure: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the practicing state. \n
- Education: Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required. \n

- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. \n
