Job Functions
Assessment Skills: Perform thorough and accurate assessments, delivering appropriate care from Pediatric to Geriatric patients.
Clinical Skills: Demonstrate competent clinical skills, providing direct patient care and supporting the team concept.
Documentation: Maintain complete and accurate documentation, taking primary responsibility for documenting the nursing process and patient progress.
Professionalism: Uphold professional practice responsibilities, identifying areas for clinical and professional growth.
Patient Satisfaction: Respond to patients, families, and co-workers professionally and courteously, maintaining confidentiality according to HIPAA guidelines.
Safety: Follow National Patient Safety Goals and demonstrate safe transfer techniques and proper body mechanics.
Unit Specific Job Function: Individualize patient care according to surgical procedures and anesthesia, assessing patient reactions and understanding.
Responsibility and Accountability: Contribute to the perioperative team, prioritizing patient care based on needs and condition changes.
Patient Education and Chart Completion: Include patients and families in teaching, performing pre-operative and postoperative assessments and education.
Duties Specific to PAT RN: Support timely completion of patient testing and evaluate Pre Admission Testing orders.
