Description

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Collect and analyze data pertinent to the healthcare consumer's health or situation.
  • Determine actual or potential diagnoses, problems, and issues.
  • Identify expected outcomes for individualized care plans.
  • Develop strategies to achieve measurable outcomes and implement the care plan effectively.
  • Coordinate care delivery and promote a safe, healthy environment.
  • Delegate care tasks to appropriate healthcare workers, adhering to legal and policy guidelines.
  • Evaluate progress toward goals and outcomes.
  • Practice with cultural diversity and inclusion principles in mind.
  • Communicate effectively across all areas of practice.
  • Collaborate with healthcare consumers and key stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate leadership within the professional practice setting.
  • Continually seek knowledge and competence in current nursing practices.
  • Integrate evidence and research findings into practice.
  • Contribute to quality nursing practice and evaluate nursing practices against standards and regulations.
  • Utilize resources to plan and provide safe, effective, and fiscally responsible nursing services.
  • Practice ethically and promote shared governance and research development.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to walk, stand, sit, lift, reach, stoop, bend, push, and pull.
  • Must be able to lift and support up to 35 pounds in handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies.
  • Proficient in English with clear communication skills.
  • Intact senses of sight, hearing, smell, and touch.
  • Finger dexterity and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to respond quickly to changes in patient or unit conditions.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider status according to the American Heart Association.
  • Valid RN license or temporary license as a Registered Nurse Petitioner in the state of practice.
  • If residing in a National License Compact (NLC) state, meet the licensure requirements of the home state.
Education
  • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred.
