Description

Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

Monitor and interpret patients' vital signs and respond appropriately
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
Provide care and support to patients transitioning from ICUs
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members to develop care plans
Perform detailed patient assessments and document findings in medical records
Manage intravenous lines and advanced medical equipment
Educate patients and their families about post-hospital care and wellness
Respond to medical emergencies and provide immediate care
Assist with patient mobility and ensure their comfort
Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with healthcare regulations

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
Experience in cardiology or critical care nursing
Strong communication and leadership skills
Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems
Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-stress environment
Proficiency in multitasking and prioritizing patient care
Participation in continuous education and professional development programs
Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in a step-down or ICU unit
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Excellent clinical and observational skills
Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
Strong problem-solving abilities
Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
Good organizational skills and attention to detail
Physical ability to perform essential nursing tasks such as lifting and moving patients
