Job Details

Target Ratios: 1:6-7
Shift: 12-hour nights, 36 or 48 hours accepted. No overtime billed until after 48 hours.
Contract Duration: 13 weeks up to March 15, 2025 (hard stop).
Charge Role: Required for night travelers.
RTO: Maximum of 7 days.
Call Requirement: Call required if put on call for a prescheduled shift.
Float Requirement: Floating to similar units and alternate care locations with inpatients holding.
Weekend Requirement: Assigned to every other weekend.
Must be able to work holidays.
Possibility of taking care of COVID patients.
Assigned to an Inclement Weather Team.
Contract staff will be part of Storm and/or Hurricane Teams and may be required to report during catastrophic events.

Required Skills/Certifications/Experience

Minimum Years of Experience: 2 years
Traveler Experience: Unit accepts first-time travelers
Locals Accepted: Yes
Skills: EPIC experience required. Must be able to handle insulin and heparin drips.
Certifications: BCLS

Preferred Skills/Certifications/Experience

CPI
Charge nurse experience

Patient Diagnoses

Care for adults and geriatrics with general medical/surgical conditions. Daily census is approximately 43 patients.

Wound Vac Dressing Changes
High Flow Oxygen
Limited short-term BiPap with respiratory support

Unit needs and preferences will be relayed to management.

Unit Orientation

24 hours of orientation provided.
