• Travel rate available for local travelers starting on or before 12/16/2024.
• Contracts available from 13 weeks up to March 15, 2025, to support the unit through the holidays.
• Shift: 12-hour nights; 18:45 - 07:15.
• Hours: 36 or 48 hours per week. No overtime billed until after 48 hours if accepting 48-hour shifts.
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend, plus 2 Mondays and 2 Fridays in a 6-week period.
• Call Requirement: Yes; frequency depends on patient census.
• Float Requirement: Yes.

Our unit specializes in primary cardiac and stroke care, including:

• Stable pre/post care for pacemaker implantation and cardiac catheterization.
• Post uncomplicated interventional peripheral vascular procedures.
• Unstable angina, low-risk chest pain evaluation, CHF, Dysrhythmias.
• All new CVA, TIA patients.
• Multiple drips: Cardiazem, Dopamine, Amiodarone, etc.

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar high-acuity, high-ratio setting.
• Skills: IV Start, Telemetry, pre and post-procedure cardiac patients, cardiac drips, PCI.
• Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, and NIH.
• Traveler Experience: First-time travelers accepted.

• Ability to titrate Cardiazem drips.
• Familiarity with telemetry, pulse ox, high flow O2 (stable), and Bipap for chronic use.

• Medication, Documentation, Communication: Pyxis, Dimensions (EPIC), SBAR.

• Blackout RTO: 12/18/2024 - 01/02/2025.
• No block scheduling allowed.
• Self-scheduling with oversight from leadership to ensure balance.
• 36-hour orientation; availability required every day during the first week for hospital orientation.
• Scrubs: Navy blue or white, or a mixture of both. Jackets must match uniform material and color.
