Medical/Surgical and Telemetry-remote monitoring
Use of Rapid Response Team
IV insulin protocols, Colostomy Care, Feeding tube care & management
Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management, Blood Product Administration
Central line blood draw, Peripheral Line Care/Management
PICC line management, Starting IVs, Heparin, PCA
Chest tubes-Emerson/Pleuravac, CPAP/BiPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC)
Nasal Cannula, Non-invasive airway management, Oral Suctioning
Oxygen face masks, Portable Oxygen tank, Isolation Precautions
Wound Care/Wound Vac

Preferred Skills and Experience

MS/Tele, Telemetry, Interpretation and Management of dysrhythmias
Accessing Ports, Insulin, CVA, Surgical drains
Interpretation of ABGs, Tracheostomy Management
EPIC proficiency

Job Details

Target Ratios: 1:5-6
Shift: 12-hour nights; 36 or 48 hours accepted. No OT billed until after 48 hours if applicable.
Contract Length: Up to March 15, 2025 (hard stop), to cover the holiday season.
Special Assignments: Contract staff may be assigned to Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team duties during emergencies.
Floating Requirement: Required
Weekend Requirement: 12-16 per contract

Patient Diagnoses

Our unit handles a range of conditions including dementia, diabetes, COVID, pneumonia, COPD, sepsis, encephalopathy, GI bleed, anemia, and hip fracture.

Special Procedures and Unit Details

Our facility includes an isolation area for COVID patients and provides multi-level care, including stepdown services managed by stepdown staff.
