Job Details

Location: Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center
Shift: 12-hour Nights (18:45-07:15) Fri-Mon schedule
Hours: 48 hours can be offered, with overtime billed after 48 hours
Float Requirement: Floating as needed, may float to sister unit with ER holding coverage
Holiday RTO: Cannot approve 12/24 or 12/25 RTO
Scrubs: Navy Blue

Required Skills, Certifications, and Experience

Minimum Experience: 2 years or 1 year with travel experience
Traveler Experience: No prior experience required, unit accepts first-time travelers
Skills:
- MS/tele experience required
- Telemetry experience preferred
- Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
- Use of rapid response teams
- Blood product administration
- Central and peripheral line care/management
- Nasal cannula and non-invasive airway management
- Isolation precautions
Certifications: BLS and NIH required

Patient Diagnoses and Unit Details

Patient Diagnoses: General surgery and medical tele cardiac telemetry/medical telemetry
Special Procedures: General Surgery, Surgical procedures
Unit Systems: Pyxis, EPIC (preferred)
Unit Orientation: 36 hours
Hospital Orientation: Week one, must be available for classes each day
