Job Details

Shift: Nights, 36 or 48 hours per week (No overtime billed until after 48 hours)
Contract Length: Up to mid-March to cover the holiday season
Patient Ratios: 1:4
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Float Requirement: Travelers float first; potential to float to a lower level of care with adjusted patient ratios
Storm/Hurricane Team: Contract staff may be required to work during catastrophic events, mass casualties, or disasters

Requirements

Minimum 1 year of experience
Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
EKG Testing: Must pass prior to start

Preferred Qualifications

Charge nurse and telemetry experience
Experience with stable trached ventilator management and pressor support

Additional Information

Patient Diagnoses: Stroke, neuro medical
Systems: EPIC and Pyxis for medication, documentation, and communication
Scheduling: Self-scheduling
Unit Orientation: 24 hours
Scrubs: Navy
