Job Details

Contract Length: 13 weeks up to March 15, 2025
Shift: 12-hour days
Hours: 36-48 hours per week (No overtime until after 48 hours)
Weekend Requirement: Work every other weekend
Floating: Required to any other MS/Tele areas, including potential COVID care units

Patient Diagnoses

Our unit primarily cares for stroke patients but also manages cases involving possible neurosurgery, epilepsy, traumatic and non-traumatic subdural hematomas, and more.

Special Procedures / Unit Details

4-bed Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) at an intermediate level with a 4:1 nurse-to-patient ratio
42 daily census with 43 rooms/beds

Required Skills / Certifications / Experience

Minimum 1 year of MedSurg experience
At least 1 year of travel experience (2 years preferred)
Skills: IV Start, Telemetry, Interpretation and Management of Dysrhythmias, Med/Surg Neuro Experience
Certifications: BCLS, NIH, NIHSS, ACLS (preferred, not required)

RTO: Maximum of 7 days, with adjustments if it includes weekends
Unit Orientation: 36 hours
Scrubs: Navy
EKG Testing must be passed prior to start
Block scheduling is not guaranteed
