Description

Job Details

Shift: 12-hour Days (06:45-19:15), Friday through Monday schedule. May be required to work a weekday holiday shift.
Hours: 48 hours can be offered. No overtime billed until after 48 hours.
Float Requirement: Floating as needed. May float to sister unit with ER holding coverage.
Patient Diagnoses: General surgery and medical tele cardiac telemetry/medical telemetry.
Special Procedures/Unit Details: General Surgery, Surgical procedures.
Unit Systems: Pyxis, EPIC (preferred).
Scrubs: Navy Blue.

Required Skills and Certifications

Minimum 2 years of experience, or 1 year with travel experience.
MS/tele experience required, telemetry experience preferred.
Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias.
Use of rapid response teams.
Blood product administration.
Central and peripheral line care/management.
Nasal cannula and non-invasive airway management.
Isolation precautions.
Certifications: BLS and NIH required.

Additional Information

Traveler experience required: No, unit accepts first-time travelers.
Locals accepted with rate difference.
Target Ratios: 1:6-7.
Holiday RTO: Cannot approve 12/24 or 12/25 RTO.
Unit Orientation: 36 hours. Hospital orientation during week one; traveler must be available for classes each day.
