Description

Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

Perform and document patient assessments at the time of admission.
Create a plan of care, including discharging plans, revise the plans based on eh patient's response to treatment, and regularly evaluate plans for effectiveness.
Document the outcomes of nursing interventions and patient responses.
Provide educational materials to patients and families on care and treatments.
Administer medications and complete treatments according to hospital policy.
Perform venipuncture, and administer and maintain IV fluids and IV medications.
Review all new physician orders, ensure orders are carried out and documented correctly, and verify that other departments are notified of orders and services.
Provide accurate and relevant patient information reports to the Nurse Leader and to the oncoming shift to ensure continuity of care.

Qualifications:

BLS (CPR) certification (required).
ACLS certification within six (6) months of employment (required).
1 year of Clinical Nursing experience as a Registered Nurse in an Acute Care Setting (preferred).
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English (required).
