Registered Nurse - Operating Room (Specialty Surgery)
Annual Salary: Competitive
Location: Dallas, TX
Job Type: Permanent, Full-time (12 HR Nights, 19:00-07:00)
Join the facility as a Registered Nurse in our Operating Room, specializing in Specialty Surgery. This full-time night shift position is based in Dallas, TX, at a facility renowned for its comprehensive patient care and research. We are seeking dedicated RNs who are eager to advance their skills in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing critical care in surgical settings.
Day-to-day of the role:
Clinical Practice: Provide direct nursing care and supervise non-licensed nursing staff within the OR. Ensure the operating room is prepared with all necessary supplies, implants, instrumentation, and equipment for various surgical procedures.
Patient Care: Assess patients’ conditions before, during, and after surgery, ensuring optimal patient outcomes. Manage patient care in collaboration with other health care professionals.
Surgical Assistance: Assist surgeons during operations, ensuring efficient handling of surgical instruments and operational integrity.
Safety and Compliance: Maintain a sterile environment in the operating room at all times. Adhere to all internal and regulatory policies.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Education: Graduate of an Accredited Nursing Program.
License/Certification:
RN Registered Nurse license.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
Experience:
1+ years of RN experience in an Operating Room setting, capable of scrubbing and circulating.
Experience in specialty surgeries such as Microvascular, Reconstructive/Plastics, ENT, Bariatric, and Oral Surgery is highly preferred.
