Allied Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

Surgical Tech - Surgical Tech Open Heart OR

Job Details:

• Work Monday through Friday, 36-40 hours per week
• Call responsibilities typically 2-3 times per week
• Weekend call every 2nd or 3rd weekend
• Must have Open Heart experience required
• High school graduate or equivalent required
• Graduate of an accredited surgical technician program required
• CPR certification required
• Certification (CST) required
• Previous OR experience preferred
• Provide assistance in the operating room under supervision of surgeons, anesthesiologists and nurses
• Prepare operating/procedure rooms and surgical equipment
• Pass tools to surgeons during operations and help control equipment such as lights, bovie or suction
• Assist with safe transfer of patients to operating room table
• Assist in positioning patients safely for procedures to prevent injury or harm
• Participate in physician-led time-outs
• Work in ambulatory (River View, Pavilion) or hospital setting (Main OR)
• Must successfully complete yearly competencies
• Heavy work requirements: exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally
