Pros

Everyone is very nice to travelers. The unit supervisor is very nice and works with you. There are plenty of resources, including on unit phlebotomy, ed techs that actually do their jobs, RT, etc. You always get your breaks, which is really nice, 2 30s and a 15. Each pod has a resource nurse too, which is nice.

Cons

As a traveler, you will be the first to float into their psych area, but you will almost always have a tech or another nurse that knows the flow of the unit with you. Some of the charge nurse don't really keep track of how heavy your assignment may be. If you have an open bed, they'll fill it. I know that's pretty common in a lot of busy places though. You also are in charge of arriving the patient in the computer at time of triage and you have to strip and clean your room between patients.

Pros

I have been traveling with ADEX and Lana as my recruiter for nearly 4 years now! I have never had to “fight” for my pay or stipends. Lana has always been my advocate to each facility I’ve traveled too. Lana responds quickly and handles any of questions very quickly. I had gone through several agencies and recruiters before landing with Lana at Adex and I highly recommend them both!

Cons

I actually have nothing bad I can say
