The unit is equipped with dual channel telemetry and continuous pulse oximetry and cares for patients who are HIV positive, those who have respiratory diseases, and adults with cystic fibrosis. This unit  is the proud recipient of the Beacon Gold Award for Excellence designated by the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN). Recipients of a Beacon designation demonstrate excellence in sustained unit performance and patient outcomes. Ratio is 1:4/5. Required certs: BLS. Must have one year experience.
