Job Title: Ultrasound Tech
Location: Oneonta, NY
Shift: 07:00 AM - 05:30 PM (10x4)
Weekly Hours: 40 Hours
Duration: 13 Weeks
Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Ultrasound Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have extensive vascular experience, particularly with DVT assessments, as well as proficiency in general and breast ultrasound procedures. This position requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
Schedule:
• On-call one weekday from 5:30 PM to 12 AM.
• Every 5th weekend on Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM.
• Flexibility to float to other facilities within the Bassett Healthcare Network as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform a variety of ultrasound examinations, including vascular, general, and breast imaging.
• Utilize Philips ultrasound equipment to conduct high-quality imaging and provide accurate diagnostic information.
• Collaborate with physicians to discuss ultrasound findings and assist in patient management.
• Maintain accurate and complete patient records and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in all imaging procedures.
• Participate in continuing education and training to stay current with advancements in ultrasound technology.
• Be available for occasional Saturday or Sunday shifts, as well as on-call responsibilities during specified hours.
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 4 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technician.
• ARDMS certification required.
• Proven experience in vascular ultrasound, particularly in DVT evaluations.
• Proficient in general and breast ultrasound techniques.
