Description
The OR Schedule Board Coordinator is responsible for the management and supervision of the Operating Room(OR) and staffing requirements. Works in conjunction with Anesthesia in daily running of the surgical schedule and collaborates with the Perioperative Services Director, Nurse Coordinators, surgeons, and staff to ensure high utilization of the OR. Verifies lunches and breaks are provided to staff and ensures room turnovers are meeting established goals with OR Clinical Nurse II, Charge Nurse. Makes recommendations to Nurse Coordinator II’s on matters affecting quality of patient care and nursing practice. Performs as a professional leader and functions as a resource to department staff and other leaders. Ensures compliance with all regulatory agencies such as Joint Commission, IDPH, and CMS. Reviews Collective Bargaining, Discipline,, Supervisory, and Management responsibilities, Quality initiatives, and is familiar with policies and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited college or university
• Current license as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN) in the State of Illinois
• Three (3) years of Operating Room (OR) Nursing work experience
• One (1) year of Nursing supervisory work experience
