Description

Job Title: Inpatient Social Worker - Day Shift

Our client is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Inpatient Social Worker to join their team. This is a day shift position, with a 13-week contract that may require extensions. The successful candidate will work 40 hours per week, with shifts scheduled based on the hospital's needs.

Responsibilities:

Managing a caseload of 30-40 patients, with approximately 8 patients per day.
Providing crisis intervention, supporting loved ones, setting goals of care, appointing decision-makers, and conducting mental status exams.
Connecting patients to necessary resources.

Requirements:

Must hold a Master of Social Work degree and be a registered ASW in California.
Must have a BLS certification and LA County Fire Card.
Must have at least two years of experience in the specialty, with acute care medical experience.
Must have knowledge of early child development and end-of-life care.
Must not hold a counseling degree or be a marriage counselor or LMFT.
Must be vaccinated against COVID-19 and have received a booster if eligible.

Our client's location provides all necessary PPE, including fit testing on-site. Parking is available on-site. The EMR system used is Epic.

Local travelers are welcome to apply. Please note that candidates without Requested Time Off (RTO) will be prioritized, and a maximum of 3 days RTO will be approved. There are no on-call requirements for this position.
