Description
WCS Healthcare is urgently seeking a skilled and dedicated Respiratory Therapist to join a state-of-the-art healthcare system in Philadelphia, PA. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, contributing to high-quality patient care.
Job Function:
- Review Patient Data: Review in-patient records, including admission information, R.C. orders, patient history, physical exams, PFT values, ABG results, and laboratory data to ensure accurate assessments and appropriate interventions.
- Set up Respiratory Equipment: Set up and maintain respiratory equipment as per physician instructions, ensuring proper function and patient comfort.
- Attend Meetings and Training: Participate in department meetings and in-service training sessions as directed to stay updated on best practices and new techniques.
- Conduct Patient Assessments: Perform patient assessments to monitor the effects of therapy, documenting all findings accurately in the patient’s chart.
- Administer Therapeutic Procedures: Conduct prescribed therapeutic procedures to achieve and maintain adequate oxygenation levels for patients.
- Maintain Patent Airway: Administer prescribed therapeutic procedures to maintain a patent airway, including the maintenance of adequate humidification levels.
- ABG Analysis: Obtain and analyze Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs) as ordered and in accordance with department policy.
Job Requirements:
- 2 + years experience.
- Critical care and intensive care nursery experience required
- PA Respiratory Therapist license.
- National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) Registry
- BLS Certification Required
