Job Function:

• Review Patient Data: Review in-patient records, including admission information, R.C. orders, patient history, physical exams, PFT values, ABG results, and laboratory data to ensure accurate assessments and appropriate interventions.
• Set up Respiratory Equipment: Set up and maintain respiratory equipment as per physician instructions, ensuring proper function and patient comfort.
• Attend Meetings and Training: Participate in department meetings and in-service training sessions as directed to stay updated on best practices and new techniques.
• Conduct Patient Assessments: Perform patient assessments to monitor the effects of therapy, documenting all findings accurately in the patient’s chart.
• Administer Therapeutic Procedures: Conduct prescribed therapeutic procedures to achieve and maintain adequate oxygenation levels for patients.
• Maintain Patent Airway: Administer prescribed therapeutic procedures to maintain a patent airway, including the maintenance of adequate humidification levels.
• ABG Analysis: Obtain and analyze Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs) as ordered and in accordance with department policy.

Job Requirements:

• 2 + years experience.
• Critical care and intensive care nursery experience required
• PA Respiratory Therapist license.
• National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) Registry
• BLS Certification Required
