RN’s often need to do unit clerk duties. Sometimes OB techs are on call and not in house

Outdated charting system (the ER and floors also have separate systems so a lot of ER charting doesn’t cross over well for admits), lots of broken equipment, in room monitors often don’t sync to the central system. High management turnover, the hospital has had several recent owners and recently completed the chapter 11 process (bankruptcy). On the bright side, the pay is surprising decent for the area, overall the staff and doctors are chill and approachable. Hope you know Spanish because there’s no in person interpreters and probably 1/3 of the patient population is Spanish only. The ER here also is required to do a lot of tasks that typically the floor does which is frustrating and will eat up a lot of your time (itemized detailed belongings lists, completed med rec/PMH, skin checks, etc).
