I had opportunity to work in the Endoscopy department but in the EMR/Chart/Insurance/Scheduling/Virtual Triage setting. As a Certified Gastroenterology Registered Nurse (CGRN) with 8 years of endoscopy experience I found this opportunity interesting to be able the backside of the operation (pun intended). The staff were very welcoming and helpful. I enjoyed the traditional potlucks and break room banter with them all. Shortly after starting my the contract say 3 weeks in, and I fly home to Florida for a family members  wedding and contracted covid. I had to quarantine for 10days before returning to work. The Manager was great and so supportive. Just keep open communication and everything will be just fine if you decide to work at UVDavis Medical Center - Midtown Gastroenterology Clinic and GI Lab, Midtown Sacramento, CA. Great experience!

Total disconnect between staff and management. Over worked and under staffed. Mandatory 4 hour stays to help on coming short staff shift. Staff unhappy with schedules and assignments. Needs a complete overhaul of management. The staff is very competent but underappreciated.

the management here is particular as to what travelers do - AKA only portables if you have a Day shift and at night there is very little help from anyone since they are understaffed.
