One of the best places I’ve had the pleasure of working at. Love the culture, staff is hardworking; a well oiled machine! From the techs to security to admin to management, they’re all stellar. I wouldn’t hesitate to work there again. Don’t be fooled by the ruralesque community, Sturdy sees a tremendous amount of high acuity and trauma patients.

Pros
Cute updates in ORs. Free parking. Many good, hard-working people work there. Many for God- knows what reason loyal patients. May be they just don't know any better.
Cons
It's a small hospital. Some floors are depressing. They still have double bed patient's rooms, and it is disturbing. Your family is forced to share a room with someone who can be in a very poor mental or physical state. The hospital is cheap. Medications protocols are driven by cost, not by a best practice. Propofol is too expensive to use for ICU vented patients. And many patients do not even need such extensive interventions yet either operated on for too long or whatever reason. Some ortho surgeons should not be let to touch the patients. Quite a few Doctors with a God complex. They have a Cerner charting system. Many unprofessional things, like party food inside of a nursing station, inappropriate jokes, stuff that in a teaching hospital so many would be fired for.
