SWRMC is a Level 3 - 29 bed ED

STAFF Mix

Registered Nurses - good mix of RN experience and only hire new grads in spe-

cial circumstances.

ED Techs (EMT/Paramedics or in nursing school) - assist with starting IV's, EKG's, transporting patients, stocking the department, sitting 1:1 and filling in as the AA when needed.

Ratio of 3:1 and 4:1 depending on the acuity of the patients.

ED pharmacist in our ED for 8 hours, 7 days a week.

ED case manager here 5 days a week.

Serves as a mentor by role modeling a professional practice consistent with organizational goals, customer service, clinical effectiveness, and standards of care. Interacts with patients and the family of residents/participates in a positive and professional manner. Serves as liaison between caregiver and facility in regards to management of healthcare. Clinical Manager processes paperwork such as department budgets, disciplinary actions against employees, medical records, employee performance evaluation, staff recruitment, retention and quality improvement. The Clinical Manager consults and collaborates with other health care professionals to coordinate the management of resident/participant.
