My favorite contract so far!
They had a great culture aside from a few bad apples, which are everywhere. They kept safe ratios 98% of the time. They were flexible with call ins (I have a child). They were approachable with issues. Most coworkers were very helpful and nice to travelers. They had a few weird policies being critical access, but I think it’s just based on the volume of patients they see. They aren’t super familiar with vents or very sick patients and don’t have intensivists, which is evident in their approach to pt care. You have to stay on top of labs, notes from other teams, med choices, etc.
Great people
I loved the crew there. Smaller hospital that could get busy at times in a small vacation town. Due to it being a critical care acess hospital, resources are limited and StatRad is the main reason for holding up the ER. 4-5 hr wait for CT read is insane. I would go back for more contracts and maybe even staff.
