I enjoyed the RT driven protocols the facility has. My night shift team was awesome and made my time there very enjoyable. I stayed for my coworkers because they were so great!

Level 2 trauma/teaching facility that functions as a level one. The organization of the department and through put is run very well, but the culture is a bit toxic. Overall the charges nurses are fair, and ratios are 1:4

They provide great care to their patients and are all relatively nice but:  They advertised it as a 40 bed ER but neglected to mention the 25 other treatment areas (which are just recliners).  Also, there is no teamwork.  They price gouge their patients.  They will call a stroke alert if you spin around 3 times and say you’re dizzy.  They will call a trauma alert if you take aspirin and fell with no head strike.  But no trauma alert on a ambulatory patient in a motor vehicle collision with significantly traumatic mechanism of injury.  Little to no breaks.  Some charge nurses don’t stick up for you.  Lots of drama.  It is just not a great environment.
