You are overworked and underpaid. Mid way during my contract they decreased my pay rate. The current staff members informed me that they do this to ALL travelers, so be prepared for a pay cut. Also, do not risk your license for them. They expect you to perform things outside of your scope of practice because they are not appropriately staffed, so you are suppose to be one of many hats there. For NICU, they will purposely only have 1 nurse with multiple NICU babies, and refuse to give you help because they do not want to pay for an extra set of hands (hence the pay decrease, they don’t want to pay you). Awful management, poor communication, and lack of staff/support. Be aware and be careful.
