They are in dire need of help, but the state working are always trying to run off the travelers. They hate us, bc they say we make more than them, but not taking into account that we pay bills for 2 states, and we aren’t able to physically visit our families daily. The patient treated the travelers better than some of the workers. Which was another reason why they didn’t like us. Some of the state workers treated them like prisoners. Especially at their Galen facility.

Unappreciative

By end of assignment became unsafe for my license since I was being required to be charge and working med pass. Patients were becoming more violent and required me to monitor the unit, not be locked in a med room.

Needed a CEO

The work environment is very toxic and strained. Travelers didn't have a fair chance coming in the door. Administration and the majority of Union staff were very unfriendly. They often made it very challenging for Out-of-town staff. I read their Town Hall minutes where they expressed displeasure with "The Travelers" coming and making more money than they were and lacking experience. Unfortunately, this information was a half-truth. Many of the Travelers' held college degrees and ample years of experience including the CNA's and Psyche Techs. I was appalled how the division caused poor patient care and dangerous occurrences throughout various housing units because of indifference and jealousy. Many of these concerns were brought to the Administration's attention (I made sure of that in writing).
It was hard to fathom: how a facility that needed so much help was willing to dishonor the very people sent to assist them during a staffing crisis.

Do able but not friendly place. A lot of errors and back stabbing. Lost CMS funding.

Med Surg

This place has the most dishonest and crooked management I've ever experienced. They literally change their safety protocols to compensate for their understaffing. They have already lost their license and will most likely be completely shut down in the near future. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!

Stepdown

Very political among the regular staff. Ask (tell) you to do things against nursing policies.  Do NOT tell them “no” or there are attacks on your patient care. Glad I left
