1 nurse recommends working here
Short staffed when I was there, primary nursing most of the time w/ pretty much total care patients. Usually 5 patients on nights. Lots of trachs and wound care. Staff was friendly and helpful. Was mostly able to get whatever schedule I needed.

Pros
It's a job.
Cons
If a patient has good insurance their families are told optimistic stories on rounds while the provider admits hopelessness behind closed doors. Hospital acquired wounds are concealed depending on how many occurred that month. Numerous treatment resistant diseases are named after this specific campus for the levels of neglect that take place. You will not have time to wait for non-verbal patients to use their letter boards to communicate so that you must choose between providing them their legal rights to communication and self-reporting or neglecting your other patients. It is a nightmare to work there if you have any compassion left in your heart.
