Travel Vs permanent
I would 1000% do this travel assignment again. The staff was nice, the patients were the best most gracious clientele. The radiologists were kind. My only con was my commute.
Used to be incredible
Working here full time used to be an excellent place to work. Patient ratios are fair and remain so. Pay raises were just given, full time new grad staff starting at $33, which is still low compared to other hospitals in the area. Shift differentials are comparable to other hospitals, and unlike many, we still offer critical pay for picking up additional shifts at $40/hr. However, management in the last year has become toxic. Many qualified and great nurses have left due to the bullying by management, and staffing is an issue much more so than years past, even through COVID. Kudos are never given, but criticism is abound. Unfortunately it has chased many full time staff out of the hospital entirely. However, if you have a thick skin and aren’t affected by this, want to come in, do your job, and pick up shifts for a significant bump in pay, it’s a gray place to work. Staff remain passionate about patient care and safety and many have decades of experience on the units.
