Worst Hospital Ever
Although this was during COVID, I was contracted here for 6 weeks for a med/surg/tele and as soon as I got there, they informed me saying that I will be working on the neuro/cardiac/med/surg floor. When I told them that I was assigned for a different unit, they told me that unit was full and they were sending me else where. When I get to the unit, every one was welcoming and helpful. I meet the unit manager and first thing she said to me was, “if you’re thinking of extending, that would be great! We’re looking for people to extend.” I was being shown the unit by a staff member, but she told me that there will be a rise in travelers here shortly as the nurses and CNA’s were going on strike the following week. I contacted my recruiter and he said they were not told that a strike was happening. The worst part were the ratios. Roughly 1:10, with no CNA as they were constantly pulled to be sitters in the ED. After the second day was done, I ran out of there so quickly.
