2 nurses recommend working here
Pros
Unit is traveler, friendly. Patient severity is considered in staffing ratios in the ICU. And the worst part is that as a traveler at Haywood, you will float from the ICU before any full-time person with and sometimes that can be one out of three shifts a week. The staff and the management of the unit are all great. The cost of living in that area is low. The weather is beautiful during the summer with lots of sunshine and low humidity. It is an awesome place to be if you’d like hiking, eclectic small towns, and iWaterfalls.
Cons
Sometimes the floating is a bit much and as an ICU nurse having five patients when you’re on PCU can be difficult.

Pros
The OR is very traveler friendly.
Cons
It can be difficult to find housing. Touristy area.
