SUMMARY:

The Clinical Staff Manager (CSM) is a direct supervisory leadership role that is a key member of the Nursing leadership team. The CSM leads a cohort of the assigned unit's staff members and actively participates in overall management of the unit, development of clinical practice, and provision of patient care with accountabilities for implementation and outcomes for people development, leadership, quality, service, compliance, finance, throughput and scheduling. The primary focus of the Clinical Staff Manager is to ensure the unit's optimal performance during each assigned shift and within their team of direct reports by engaging in effective problem solving for staff, patients and families and to develop/lead the assigned cohort. The Clinical Staff Manager provides feedback and coaching to staff members, recognizing them for their contributions while fostering a high performance culture linked to Grady's revitalized values and behaviors.

QUALIFICATIONS:

* Bachelors degree in Nursing (BSN)
* Masters degree in Nursing (MSN) preferred
* Three (3) years of experience
* Clinical nursing leadership experience preferred
* Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Georgia
* Basic Life Support (BLS).
* Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required for the following areas with 90-days or employment or transfer:

All Critical Care areas

Emergency Care Center (ECC/ED)

GI/Cath Laboratory

Manages education/training programs and services, develops related goals and objectives, recommends policies, and evaluates program outcomes. Utilizes a high degree of initiative to plan, develop, implement, coordinate, and evaluate educational and clinical experiences. The three spheres of influence include patient/family, staff nurses, and health organizations/systems. Provides clinical leadership, and serves as a role model and facilitator of learning and resource for the translation of skills and knowledge into clinical practice. The roles of the Advanced Clinical Nurse Educator include, direct patient/family care, consultation, change agent, teaching/coaching/mentoring, research, patient advocacy, performance improvement, and leadership &amp; professional development.

QUALIFICATIONS

* Master's (MSN) or Doctorate Degree in Nursing is required.
* A minimum of four years of clinical nursing experience is required.
* Current Georgia License as a Registered Professional Nurse.
* Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
* Certified AHA ECC Instructor - BLS (required within 6 months of hire) ACLS and /or PALS (desired).

As a key liaison between the Trauma/Burn Program and Nursing quality, the Clinical Quality Nurse Leader provides direct clinical expertise in chart audits and case reviews as identified by the Trauma PI teams. Additionally, the role involves conducting RCA (Root Cause Analysis) and ACA (Action-Centered Analysis) reviews to drive improvements in care delivery. Effective oversight of the clinical outcome nurse responsibilities is essential for facilitating the team's implementation of best practices and ensuring the successful execution of quality initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS

* Bachelor's Degree in Nursing; path to Master's Degree
* Three (3) or more years job related experience including RN experience caring for high acuity patients (i.e., ED, periop, IMCU, ICU).
* Current Georgia License as Registered Nurse.
* Advanced Cardiac Life support
* National Certified required within 3 years of hire.
* Basic Life Support (BLS).
