I loved the ICU units and team atmosphere so much that I extended my contract once. Then I left to sever ties from the lack of genuine communication with my now former recruiter.

Great hospital to work!

Contract around 2021-2022…For those who know you know…each ecmo patient has one primary nurse with a perfusionist that covers 4 or 5 patients with a PA that covers those patients too. The staff and support is phenomenal. If you went to learn and you’re hungry it’s awesome. Plus it is Atlanta so people are beautiful, nice, ratchet, and down to earth all at the same time. I loved my time there and I committed from Marietta while in Georgia. Lowest paid contract to date, and that was during the height of Covid. I still might go back someday.

The call while I was there was excessive. While they did offer self scheduling you were required to take a large amount of call and you were 8/10 called in and you did indeed stay if your call was to follow a shift. They would also send you home if there wasn’t anything going on even if you were on 12 hour shifts then when cases would come in they would call the call team. The environment there is your there to work and nothing else.
