Position Summary
Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer, the Senior Director Patient Care Services is responsible for the Women’s and Children’s Services of the hospital. In accordance with agreed business plans and services development objectives, identifies and develops opportunities for growth of the care delivery system.  Works collaboratively with the department and hospital leadership teams, as well as the service’s physicians, and outside agencies. Ensures smooth delivery of services, performs a wide variety of administrative and fiscal functions including planning, budgeting, interfacing with the public, leading and managing personnel, marketing and participating in purchases / acquisitions. This position oversees L&amp;D, Mom/Baby, NICU, Maternal Fetal Medicine, and High-Risk Pediatrics. 
Position Qualifications 
Minimum Education: 
<ul>
 <li>Bachelor of Science in Nursing required. </li>
 <li>Master's Degree in Business Administration or Master's Degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration required.</li>
</ul>
Minimum Experience/Skills:
<ul>
 <li>Knowledge of current trends in health care, experience in quality improvement and health care regulation, customer service, financial management and productivity. </li>
 <li>A minimum of 4 years progressive management/business experience. </li>
 <li>Three to five years acute care experience in L&amp;D.</li>
</ul>
License/Certificates/Credentials:  Current, active and clear, California Registered Nursing License
Physical Demands:

 Position Summary:
 Oversees the Pharmacy technicians and processes within the pharmacy.  Ensures compliance with Federal, State and local laws and regulations.  May advise physicians on medication utilization. 1. Performs assessment of patient therapy that demonstrates knowledge and consideration of age specific and cultural differences.  Makes recommendations to modify therapy to meet the age specific requirements of the newborn (0 to 30 days), pediatric (1 to 12 years), adolescent (13 to 17 years), adult (18 to 70 years), and geriatric (71+ years) patients.                         2. Supervises the compounding, dispensing, ordering, and proper storage of all pharmaceuticals.                          3. Directs the work of pharmacy technicians                         4. Functions as a pharmacist                         5. Assists in assuring JCAHO requirements, Medicare conditions of participation, Title 22, FDA, DEA, Board of Pharmacy and other pertinent regulations.                    6. Performs Pharmacist duties including, but not limited to: • Screens and interprets chart orders or prescriptions for drug interactions, therapeutic duplications, allergic or adverse drug reactions, and proper dosing relative to patient age, weight and disease state. • Dispenses medications written on chart orders or prescriptions. • Maintains current, complete, and accurate patient medication records. • Oversees preparation of parenteral nutrition solutions, intravenous admixtures, chemotherapy, and piggyback solutions. • Verifies unit dose carts, IV orders, piggybacks, parenteral nutrition and chemotherapy orders prepared by the pharmacy technician, intern, or another pharmacist as required. • Verifies entry of chart orders into the computer system by the pharmacy technician or intern. • Rectifies any missing doses or missed doses. • Provides drug information to physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and other health professionals. •  Reviews medication profiles and monitors patient drug therapy upon entering new orders.                    • Performs all other duties as needed.
