Acute Care

No orientation at all to the hospital enviroment, policies or staff. Didn’t feel welcome. They floated me twice on my second day. The sup constantly moved patients in the middle of the night. Often I would transfer a pcu to get a pcu for no obvious reason. Every SINGLE Monday I had difficulty getting my time sheet. No other traveler seemed to have this issue. Nobody would take the time to show me where lab, pharmacy, ct, pre-op, etc. all of which I needed to go. The only saving grace is its location. Bright sunny and dry. Unless they strike or have an high above average paying contract I will avoid this hospital.

Very traveler friendly! Supplies can sometimes be scarce and some equipment needs upgrading. Charge RNs are all great to work with and there was great schedule flexibility even for travelers.

I’d go back in a heartbeat!!

PCU - Progressive Care Unit

First Assist

The OR was pretty typical. Short staffed, very busy, 3/4 of the people are wonderful to work with and the rest were pretty awful. As a traveler, and Im an RNFA, that's a good assignment! I'd do this one again.

If you are hired for ICU - you are hired as a float throughout the hospital. It’s a misleading position. You are floated EVERY SHIFT, not occasionally. The team is amazing though and ratios are always maintained.
