Ratios were 1:7 consistently for almost 1 year. For about 2-3 weeks they messed up and it was 1:4-5. They even stated codes were down but it ruined the budget so it had to go back to 7. They don’t care about staff or patients

Worked two contracts in the ED. It was a very busy place, which was not a problem. They use Meditech, which is an old system but works just fine. Problem was, meditech requires that you scan the medications and over half of the computers on wheels did not work correctly. So time management was near impossible. If you had to go get another cow it took more time, or if you decided to manually chart it, it would be so busy, you would forget details or just plain forget. Staff was amazing.

It was rough

Wildly unsafe, insane ED nurse to patient ratio, and little to no help from staff. You will drown and no one will care or show any concern.

Margin/OT Billing Rules - Candidates contracted for 48 hours - OT is billed after 48hrs

Specialty: MS/Tele, 36 or 48 hours accepted for this position
Med Surg &amp; MS/Tele Ratios: 1:5/6 with occasional 1:7. This is a fast pace/high case load facility – please ensure candidates are cleared on the job requirements prior to submitting
Experience Required: At least 1.5 years of recent Med Surg experience required, 2 years preferred
First time travelers are accepted
Every other weekend required
Floating Required: Must be willing to float within specialty and between campuses (4.5 miles away)
Certifications required: BCLS
Skills Required: Telemetry 
Must pass cardiac exam during orientation
EMR experience required though Meditech Expanse training is covered during orientation

Perm staff must have been termed for 12 months and must be greater then 85 miles from the facility
Nursys: No hits are allowed, if there is a hit of ANY kind it is an automatic redirect
