Pros

Small, laid back unit with ratio of 1-7 patients, depending on census. Lower acuity. Cerner charting. Any solid color scrubs. Pyxis med use. Staff and manager are pretty friendly and flexible with schedule needs.

Cons

Usually 2 staff on per shift but no other axillary staff- you are the code team, IV start team, monitor tech, security, and often phlebotomist, etc. Not a lot of good food/hotel choices in the town, usually have to drive 30-45min to get safe/clean/healthy options.
