Busy during the winter with primary care complaints. See most people in triage and dispo from there. Lots of equipment and good patient ratios. Very nice people and great teamwork!

Monday - Friday 8hr days with occasional call. Call will increase once the Neuro Lab is up and running. Must have Neuro IR / IR experience. This position is for bridging staffing for the startup of our Neuro IR service.

CV Invasive Rad Techs: BLS &amp; ACLS, &amp; WV License/ARRT - will not accept RCIS (must have Rad Techs due to WV requirements with Xray Equipment"
#cases per day on average 	some days as few as 2 up to 9 (ave 4-5)
EMR/Equipment 	"Cupid" (EPIC &amp;  dynamics System is Xper
Charge Nurse	Resource nurse - flow of the day - assignments but will do cases if needed. Working position;. 
Cath lab/IR Techs 	CV Rad Techs Scrub/Monitor
Weekend Requirement - RN's 	(Sat/Sun Weekends 0)
Weekend Requirement -  Techs	(Same as RN's)
Call Requirement - RN's/response time	Monday - Friday 1 (ave 15 days per month but as add perm staff the call days will go down) 
Call requirement - Techs/response time 	(Same as RN's)
Holidays	Covered by call 7-7 call
Scrub Color/provided 	Scrubs are Provided (RN's wear Navy Blue &amp; Rad Techs wear Burgundy)
Tele	Phillips - Unit is hardwired at the bedside
Vents	per RT if on a vent (stays in the control room) 
Cardiologist hours/on call	Cardiology is on-call 24/7
Cath Lab Team	3-Man Team (2 RN &amp; 1 tech) 
RT	They would call RT in the ICU if they need them
Pharmacy 24/7	Omnicell we mix certain meds in the lab and Pharmacy for several meds outlined in orientation
Shifts	Monday - Friday 0  
Floating	Could be floated to Non-Invasive CV at times to start IV's 
Floor specific orientation	2 Shifts with a preceptor, then usually do a "buddy call" for Cath Lab
Common cases(IR &amp;Cath lab) 	All Cardiac Adults (peripher, catrd cath PCI, devices, only adults) 
Additional Notes	ICD, pacers, not EP no ablations 
Additional Questions	1) Are you familiar with Acist injectr (automatic - but not a deal breaker will teach it there ) &amp; must have experience with  IABP, IVUS?

Unit	ER (Cost Center 51) 
Fast track 	RME (Rapid Medical Exam) 7-Beds. Open 11 am - 11 pm (or 1am). Staffed with either a PA or one of the ED physicians &amp; an LPN or RN. They allow travelers in RME (Typical levels 3-5)
# beds/trauma bays	40-Beds (This includes 2 Trauma Bay bays, 7 RME, &amp; 2 Psych/Seclusion rooms) (usually perm staff 
# Psych/seclusion rooms 	They have 2 rooms that can be used for Psych/Seclusion. The door locks on the exterior side of the building.
# patients per day 	Currently averageing approximately 120 patients/day (Pre-Covid average closer to 150 patients/day) 
Certs &amp; other requirements 	"BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, &amp; TNCC are Required 
CEN,TCRN, &amp; CPEN would be a PLUS!
Must have:
* Previous travel experience
* 2 years of previous ER experience in a similar size/volume ER 
* Previous EPIC experience "
Ratios	1:4 for RN's 
EMR	EPIC
Charge Nurse/House Supervisor	Free Charge Nurse 24/7; however, will take patients if the needs of the units demand this
Nurse Aides/Paramedics 	"ED Techs - most have EMS background but not required. 
Ratios: 1:8-10 depending on staffing, as well as the area they are assigned to
 Foley insert &amp; remov, phlebo, EKGs, splining, wound care to some degree, transporting to RAD or inpt, CPR cert chest complression &amp; assist w/ traumas)"
Security/Patient sitters 	Secruity in the hospital but not designated to the ED, not 24/7 in the ED - quick &amp; assessable 
Weekend Requirement	Every-other-weekend. Nights is Fri/Sat; Days Sat/Sun
Holidays	Try not to but if needed. Travelers would be expected to work holidays as needed, based off the needs of the unit
Scrub Color	Navy blue - navy or white jacket - undershirt white or navy - hair must be natural hair color - No pink or blue. Distasteful tattoos must be covered.
Tele/Monitor Techs	Phillips - hard-wired &amp; in room Central station wehre CN &amp; Unit sec sit. No mont tech
Vents	Servo U, Hamilton G5, Transport Vent Hamilton T1, Bipap non-invasive ventilation phillips respironics V60, High flow heated combo of AirVo &amp; MaxTech system. 
ED Physicians/Mid-Levels	both 2 providers &amp; 2 midlevels at peak times (only PA's no NP's)
Lab Draws 	Nurses &amp; PCT draw lab 
IV Team	No IV Team 
RT 24/7	RT is in-house 24/7
Pharmacy 24/7	Pharmacy in-house 24/7 - Omnicell
Shifts	Days 7, 11, 3p or 7p for travelers. The manager enters the schedules. The 1st scheule would be plugged in where the needs are. After this they will try to work with travelers wtih the schedule. Will allow block schedule if it meets the needs of the unit. They  use Kronos to enter schedule requests, then the clinical coordinator enters the schedules &amp; the manager approves them. They try to do this at least 2 weeks in advance, for 4 weeks at a time. They  will allow block scheduling if in the contract. Night shifts is usually a blocked schedule. Weeks go Sunday - Saturday.
Floating	No floating 
Floor specific orientation	1 -  2, 12 hr shift depending on experience  
Common diagnosis / Types of patients	MVC, off major interstates, they get level I caliber pts just don't keep everyone, stablized &amp; transfer. STEMI &amp; Stroke center - Cath Lab &amp; IR but if for a stroke they transfer out, typicla ED - OD, behavorior health (peds/adol can stay for days until placed somewehre), COVID winding down, 
Additional Notes	Ideally Float pool nurses would come to ER for boarders 
Additional Questions	Helipad for transport out or ground, depending on the season due to the weather/clouds
