High turn over rate
If you are a nurse expect to work on the floor and float. You have an assigned unit but don’t expect to work there you will work wherever there is a need regardless of your discipline and if you complain you will get fired. They will say you have an attitude. The building is old and has mold in the ceilings. There is an infestation of ants and everything is falling apart part. It’s very dark at night and the security guard look like he should be a patient there. Work at your own risk. The patients are allowed to abuse you and you can’t do anything about it. Most of them are very smart and know that they can abuse you and get away with it. I was on contract there. Never believe anything they tell you. If you get sick on the weekend and have to call in sick. You will have to make that day up. They make up things as it fits the need for the facility. It was so many things they tell you but when you get on the floor it’s totally different. If your job description is not nurse slash kiss ass then you want make it long. They will fire you for anything. You don’t have a voice they say you do but when you try to speak up for yourself they will terminate you. That’s why they are always hiring and willing to pay so much for contractors. It’s a joke.
