Nurses trained in this unit are proficient in telemetry, cardiac drips and obtain their ACLS certification. The Med-Surg 3 Cardiac Unit is located on the 3rd floor of the inpatient wing of the hospital.We offer 16 private rooms for a vast variety of patients. Although, we specialize in the care of cardiac, telemetry, pulmonary and bariatric surgical patients.Within the unit is also the location for central telemetry monitoring. Each room in the unit is equipped with bedside monitors so you can see your patients heart rhythm. The monitors also allow you to import vitals into the electronic medical record. Several rooms have ceiling lifts installed to support our staff and patients with mobilization.<ul><li>Weekend Program (EXTRA $ working in a WP position)</li><li>Day Shift</li><li>Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday (ability to request off one weekend per quarter)</li><li>7:00 AM to 7:30 PM</li><li></li><li>Sign on bonus up to $2,500 may apply for external candidates</li><li>Tuition assistance up to $7,200 per year</li><li>Loan forgiveness up to $20,000</li><li>Veteran friendly</li></ul>Major Responsibilities:<ul><li>Uses the nursing process to assess the needs of the patient, plan and implement individualized interventions and evaluate the effectiveness of the plan of care.
