Additional Skill Requirements: The Program Therapist role requires candidates to acquire CPR certification and crisis intervention/management training within 30 days of employment to participate in restraining procedures. Flexibility in working hours is essential to meet program needs. If eligible, candidates are encouraged to obtain acknowledgements from the Department of Behavioral Health and Recovery (DBHR), such as Mental Health Provider and Children’s Mental Health Specialist. We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Intake Assessment Clinician to join our Smokey Point Behavioral Hospital team! 

 

As an Intake Assessment Clinician, you will play a crucial role in the process of responding to referrals and other requests for services and information. You will provide technical assistance to the discharge planning process under the direction of the Director of A&amp;R and offer general support to the case management program.

 

Document and process inquiry calls according to Intake policies.
Assess and stabilize patients before discharge or arrange hospital admission.
Notify and assist the on-call doctor with patient interviews.
Obtain administrative approval for all admissions.
Complete admission paperwork following hospital policy.
Maintain an intake log with all necessary information documented.
Make follow-up calls to patients who fail to show up for appointments.
Demonstrate guest relations by example and provide counseling to employees in need of training.

 

Your Experience Matters What we’re looking for:

 

Education &amp; Licensure: A Master’s Degree in a human relations field is required. Licensed to practice in the State of Washington as a mental health professional (Social Worker, Counselor, or RN with MHP). 
Experience: Experience in intake assessment activities within an acute psychiatric setting, preferred.

Experience: One (1) year of related experience, with a knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques with understanding of mental illness preferred.
Additional Skill Requirements: Successful completion of CPR Certification and successful completion of CPI prior to assisting with a restraining procedure and within 30 days of employment. May be required to work overtime and flexible hours.

Document patient information and changes in patient condition 
Alert the RN of changes needing reassessment 
Administer medication to patients 
Utilize appropriate interventions in psychiatric and medical emergencies

Use facility-approved CPI techniques 

 

Your Experience Matters What we’re looking for:

 

Education &amp; Licensure: Graduate from an accredited LPN program with an active license to practice in Washington.
Experience: A minimum of three years experience in a psychiatric healthcare facility is preferred.
Additional Skill Requirements: Must pass a medication administration exam before administering medications. CPR certification and successful completion of crisis intervention training, including restraint and seclusion policies, within (10) days of employment and before assisting in restraining procedures.

As a Mental Health Technician (MHT), you'll be an integral part of our treatment team, providing continuous care, supervision, and positive role modeling to patients across various age groups from adolescents to geriatrics. Assist patients through discharge, guide in adjusting to life changes, and help with personal hygiene
Comply with policies for a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment, practicing universal precautions and responding to patient care priorities.   
 

Your Experience Matters What we’re looking for:

 

Education: High School Degree or equivalent preferred; Certified Nursing or NAR required; Degree from an accredited college or university in social work, recreational therapy, psychology, human services, or appropriate therapeutic discipline preferred. Agency Affiliated Counselor registration in the state of Washington is preferred.
Experience: One year of related experience, with a knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques with an understanding of mental illness, preferred.
Additional Skill Requirements: Successful completion CPR certification and crisis intervention training within 10 days of employment prior to assisting with restraining procedures. May be required to work flexible hours. Successful completion of Agency Affiliated Counselor certification within 60 days.
