We all know HCA is the worst hospital network to work for. They always overload you with work & underpay you. Meanwhile Sam Hazen is making millions a year in profit while we work & generate this money for him. He should be ashamed. This facility may be brand new but the work environment is toxic. 10/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND! Stay away from HCA facilities.

Number of Beds:  9 labor beds, 3 triage beds, and 7 perinatal unit beds
Type of Staff:  one or 2 techs on each shift, secretary on day shift
Patient Ratios: labor and delivery 2:1, perinatal 4:1
Type of Equipment: Hill-Rom beds, Panda Warmers
Documentation System: Meditech, CPN
Call Requirements: (3) 12 hour shifts/week and one call shift per month
Floating Requirements: float to perinatal unit and post-partum
Typical Hiring Profile

 

Must Have:

NRP, ACLS, BLS, AWHONN (intermediate or advanced fetal monitoring every 2 years or current NCC certification in EFM)
 Must be able to labor, deliver and recover patients, assist with baby after delivery, circulate and recover cesarean section patients, able to care for high-risk patients in the perinatal unit.
Must be able to care for all facets of the pregnant patient throughout the pregnancy period up to and including delivery vaginal or operative. 
 

List Typical Procedures Performed on Unit(s):  

vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, tubal ligations, cerclage removal
Additional Preferences: (ex: previous travel experience preferred, easily adaptable to fast paced unit, can function well independently)
