Responsibilities:
 Your Psychiatric Care Career at Community | Opportunity. Challenge. Growth. From newly diagnosed psychiatric conditions to re-establishing medications and behavioral patterns for existing psychiatric diagnoses -- we deliver the excellent care our patients need. Nurses at our Community Behavioral Health Center have the skills necessary to lead and care for the mental well-being of our community. We are looking for skilled psychiatric or Med/Surg nurses to take on challenging work with a specialized team in 12 hour shifts. Our team is very supportive, family-oriented, and prides themselves on their pleasant work environment. As a nurse for Community Behavioral Health Center, you will work closely with the Behavioral Health team members including Psychiatric Nurse Educators who provide teaching in an individualized or group setting. You will also receive educational training in managing psychiatric emergencies, managing aggressive behaviors, de-escalation techniques and 5150 hold applications. Training for legal issues within behavioral health settings and assessment criteria is provided as well. Your role here will include opportunities for growing your skillset as well as educational training so that you can qualify to pursue additional certifications within behavioral health (i.e. American Psychiatric Nurses Association). Qualifications:
Education• Graduate of approved nursing program required• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred Experience• Consistent demonstration of Novice / Advance Beginner clinical nursing practice proficiency required Licenses and Certifications• RN - Current State of California Registered Nurse license required• BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required

Responsibilities:
The Hearings Coordinator serves as a technical administrative expert and coordinates mental health certification review hearings throughout Community Health System (CHS). Ensures accurate and timely delivery of required reports, facilitates hearings, consults with mental health hearing officers, and attends hearings as necessary. Works collaboratively with the Case Management team, providers, and internal/external stakeholders to facilitate efficient and appropriate management of all certification reviews. This position requires regular travel to various facilities and locations. The ability to travel frequently and adapt to different environments is essential to fulfilling the responsibilities of this role. <ul><li>Facilitates mental health certification reviews and hearings, ensuring the appropriate and timely conduct of hearings.</li><li>Reviews all certification review hearing documents, including completed legal forms, medical records, and appropriate background information.</li><li>Maintains current knowledge of California’s Probate Code and Welfare and Institutions Code (WIC), including multiple holds (e.g., 5150, 5250, 5270, 5585, 1799, etc.) and Assembly Bill 2275.</li><li>Acts as a liaison between Community Behavioral Health Center and CHS team members.</li><li>Serves as the designated point of contact for Department of Behavioral Health’s Hearing Officers and Patient Rights Advocates.</li><li>Ensures appropriate patient follow-ups, appeals, and/or discharges are filed in a timely manner.</li><li>Conducts Care Coordinator-Behavioral Health functions to assist with patient care.</li><li>Performs other job-related duties as assigned.</li></ul>

Qualifications:
Education Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology or related field. Experience Two years acute Case Management experience within the past 5 years. LicensesDL - Valid California Driver's License and driving record acceptable to Community Health System
