(Position includes working the Extended School Year (ESY) program in July.) 7.5 Hours Daily Salary range $42.76/hour to $52.93/hour See contract online for additional details. SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: * Graduate of an accredited school for registered nurses, * Successful experience as a school nurse preferred but not required. * Experience with nursing procedures (tracheotomy, G-tube feeding, catheterization, diabetic care, etc.) highly preferred. * Knowledgeable of school health procedures including state and federal mandates. * Desire and demonstrated ability to work with school-aged children. CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: * Current and valid State of Connecticut Registered Nurse license * Current and valid CPR certification Physical Demands * Requires the ability to sit/stand/pivot, twist and change position frequently. Requires the ability to occasionally lift, push, pull and carry 20 to 50 lbs. Requires the ability to utilize telephone, laptop computer and clinical equipment.
