JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: * Assess the physiological, psychosocial, and environmental needs of patients. * Implement the plan of care based on nursing standards and practice. * Evaluate the appropriateness of nursing interventions defined in the plan of care. * Ensure accurate and complete required documentation by Behavioral Health Technicians and Licensed Practical Nurses. * Demonstrate competency in critical thinking and decision-making skills. * Monitor staff and continuous workflow of the unit. * Share professional and technical knowledge per policies and procedures. JOB QUALIFICATIONS * Diploma, Associate, or Baccalaureate Degree from an NLN-approved program * A minimum of one year of psychiatric mental and/or behavioral patient care experience. * Current, unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida. * Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, patients, families, employees, and the general public.
