Job Description ECU Health About ECU Health SurgiCenter ECU Health SurgiCenter is a freestanding facility with a multi-specialty staff of approximately 200 physicians, all guided by a single goal: to provide quality outpatient surgical care in a patient- and family-centered environment. Performing more than 12,000 outpatient surgical procedures a year, the facility offers a convenient-and clinically excellent-alternative to inpatient hospitalization for a wide range of surgical procedures. Outpatient procedures are performed in eight modern, well-equipped suites by surgeons specializing in dental and oral surgery, orthopedics, gastroenterology, general and plastic surgery, gynecology, podiatry, neurosurgery, urology and more. Position Summary Maintains the integrity, safety and efficiency of the sterile field throughout surgical procedures. Prepares and arranges instruments and supplies. Assists the surgeon and assistants throughout the operation by providing sterile instruments and supplies. Attends educational programs and staff orientation which promote personal and professional development. Participates in Service Excellence Program. Minimum Requirements * American Heart Association BLS Certification (required for OR). * Less than 2 years of Surgical Technologist experience, CST not required * Graduation from an approved Surgical Technology Program, Certification from a Military Program, Graduated from an accredited Nursing Program RN/LPN Other Information * Day Shift * 10 hour days * 645A-515P * will need to be able to stay until all surgical cases are finished (scheduled to be completed by 5pm but may run over at times) * No On Call * No Weekends * Career Growth Opportunities Available * Great Benefits General Statement It is the goal of ECU Health and its entities to employ the most qualified individual who best matches the requirements for the vacant position.
