Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital is hiring a Full Time Night Shift (7P to 7A) Registered Nurse in Charlottesville, VA! Cornell 2: Our Medical/Surgical Unit specializes in Neuro Oncology, urology, vascular, and chest tube care, providing a dynamic environment for experienced nursing professionals and new graduates. With a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:5/1:6, you'll develop your skills while receiving mentorship from experienced staff. We care for a diverse patient population, including those with CHF, COPD, oncology patients with neutropenia or new diagnoses, amputations, and tracheostomies. Operating on 12-hour shifts with weekend rotations, we offer comprehensive orientation and ongoing professional development to foster collaboration and growth in your nursing career. Requirements: * Degree or Diploma from an accredited Registered Nursing Program * BSN or MSN preferred. * Registered Nurse License * Students in the process of completing an accredited nursing program. * Students in the process of obtaining a Registered Nursing License * BLS Required within 90 days of hire. The standards of practice (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care- teaching and health promotion and evaluation) along with the standards of professional performance (ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence- based practice /nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health) encompass the actions and foundation of professional nursing. The RN possesses clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas. BSN or MSN preferred.
