Overview UF Health Spanish Plaines Hospital Freestanding E.R. is a modern, 25,000-square-foot facility featuring state-of-the-art trauma bays, the latest in diagnostic imaging technology including CT and X-ray, and laboratory and respiratory therapy services. The emergency department offers quality care from seasoned health care experts 24 hours a day. Under the direction of the director/ charge nurse, the RN utilizes the nursing process, facilitates patient care making nursing assessments and diagnosis, formulates care plans based on the diagnosis and implements and evaluates the plan of care. Qualifications Education Associate's Degree or higher degree in nursing Licensure/Certification/Registration Florida Registered Nurse License BLS ACLS PALS NIH Experience Required A minimum of 2 years ED experience, or a minimum of 1 full year in the ED with 1 full year in another hospital care area. Experience in the ED should be current, or within 1 year. If they have more than 2 years of ED experience, an interview will be accepted as long as their experience was within 4 years. Acceptable experience, in lieu of ED experience: -Any critical care nursing or Paramedic experience on a 1:1 basis Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
